NICARAGUA TRAVEL SPOTS:
SOOO.. WHY NICARAGUA?Everyone keeps asking me what made you choose Nicaragua of all places? Truth is, we actually just all blind folded each other spun around and pointed somewhere on the map, and it landed on Nicaragua. HA. But in all seriousness, I love searching for hidden gems and Nicaragua has always been on my list. We also had several friends that have all gone and have said nothing but great things- so when it came time to pick a destination for NYE, Nicaragua won out. And it definitely did not disappoint. Nicaragua is the perfect balance of culture, adventure, relaxing, partying, and endless amounts of activities to partake in. I genuinely loved Nicaragua, and definitely will be coming back. ![]() Seeing Nicaragua with your own eyes and exploring the country, is like a roller coaster ride. You will go through emotions and stages, you get to see the pretty, the ugly and the even prettier. When you are not simply going from one place to another but instead you are really traveling and exploring, you get the chance of seeing Nicaragua from a richer perspective, one that goes beyond the nice hotels, adventure tourism and pretty beaches, you get the realest and raw Nicaragua, the one that far from perfect aesthetics and comfy hotel rooms is instead formed by its citizens, culture and idiosyncrasy. Once you decide to appreciate "different" and stop comparing it to what you -have been taught to- know, then you can see beauty in the smallest things, and even when you don't see beauty, you get to see ANS appreciate "uniqueness". Sometimes these differences and unique features of a nation may be the very ones that keep the country together despite the various scenarios as a nation they could be going through. Each week we feature a picture that reflects a Raw and Pure Nicaragua. |
